About me

I grew up in Bhopal - a quiet city with beautiful lakes in central India. I studied math & science in secondary school and then got into IIT Kharagpur to study Metallurgical & Materials Engineering. I spent most of my time playing football, representing my university. The rest of the time was spent playing video games - usually Age of Empires 2.

In 2013, I got a job at Flipkart, which was the poster boy of India's nascent startup ecosystem. Those were fun times indeed. I learnt how to build products, how to build tech to scale them to millions of users, and made a strong network of friends and future founders. Fun fact: the team I worked at gave birth to many of India's most successful startups, and we were coined the Flipkart Mafia.

In 2015, I co-founded Playment with a couple of friends from Flipkart. We went through YC, went through a pivot, raised funds, built a stellar team, built novel products, landed big customers and grew to profitability. In late 2021 we were acquired by Telus Digital where I spent 3 years integrating our product and team.

I've since been on a parenting break, enjoying quality time with my family. I moved to London in late 2025 and am very much in love with the city - especially how parks and green spaces are interspersed with urban areas. I love how the whole city is walkable and buggy-friendly, and how the public transport system makes it easy to get around.

I'm an avid gamer, although I haven't been finding much time ever since I became a dad. I like to play simulation games - currently playing Planet Zoo while I wait for its sequel. I still play football, with my local team Motspur Park Community FC, in south west London, where we play in the Surrey South Eastern Combination.
